Gingival Aesthetics in Implant-Based Restorations

The evolution of implantology has led to refinement in the criteria for evaluating treatment success. Gingival aesthetics, as a criterion for evaluating success in implantology, is the reflection of a set of success factors, such as implant position, implant type, anatomy and material used in the manufacture of the prosthetic tooth, in addition to the type of connection used. The objective of this study is to perform a review of the literature on gingival aesthetics, its analysis, maintenance methods, conditioning and replacement.
