Remoção de Terceiro Molar Deslocado para o Espaço Infratemporal: Relato de Caso

Introdução: As cirurgias para remoção dos terceiros molares podem estar relacionadas com diversas complicações. O deslocamento de terceiros molares superiores para o espaço infratemporal é uma complicação rara em cirurgias bucais, e devido às características deste espaço, o manejo merece atenção. Objetivo: Este trabalho tem por objetivo relatar um caso clínico de terceiro molar deslocado para o espaço infratemporal e sua remoção em ambiente ambulatorial. Relato de Caso: Paciente sexo masculino, 15 anos, foi encaminhado ao serviço de cirurgia e traumatologia bucomaxilofacial da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia sob a queixa de deslocamento do elemento 18 para o seio maxilar. Após investigação clínica e radiográfica minuciosa, constatou-se que o dente estava localizado no espaço infratemporal. Como tratamento, optou-se pela remoção imediata sob anestesia local. O paciente evoluiu com boa cicatrização e sem complicações. Considerações finais: O correto diagnóstico do deslocamento dentário é fundamental para o tratamento. Notado que o dente foi deslocado para o espaço infratemporal, a manipulação deve ser feita de forma mais atraumática possível, e os exames de imagem são fundamentais para o correto diagnóstico e localização do elemento deslocado.
