Complicaciones después de la Instalación de una Prótesis Total Implanto-Soportada y su Solución: Reportes de Casos

Resumo

La presencia de complicaciones en la rehabilitación oral de pacientes con dentaduras implantosoportadas, no es un problema totalmente aislado o de difícil ocurrencia, su prevalencia es un fenómeno común a pesar de la alta tasa de éxito de este tipo de tratamientos rehabilitadores, la naturaleza de esas complicaciones puede ser de origen mecánico, técnico o derivada de factores particulares del propio paciente. El objetivo de este estudio fue reportar dos casos clínicos de dentaduras maxilares sobre implantes donde se describen algunas situaciones derivadas de procesos clínicos, de laboratorio y la aparición de complicaciones tras la instalación y a través de este escenario se describe el protocolo de solución propuesto para estas fallas. Los fallos más comunes después de la rehabilitación con el uso de implantes están relacionados con la biomecánica, algunos de los cuales se pueden resolver sin necesidad de procedimientos complejos. La aplicación de criterios adecuados en la planificación realizada por el profesional, la correcta preparación y manipulación de materiales por el técnico y la comunicación con el laboratorio puede minimizar la posibilidad de manifestación de complicaciones con esta modalidad de rehabilitación.
