Tumor Odontogênico Queratocístico: Relato de Caso
Resumo
Lesão agressiva dos maxilares com alta taxa de recidiva, o tumor odontogênico queratocístico acomete em maior proporção a mandíbula posterior. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo relatar um caso clínico de uma paciente de 16 anos de idade, que apresenta uma lesão que se estende da região de 1º pré-molar do lado direito até ramo ascendente ipsilateral, envolvendo os elementos 47 e 48, assintomática, a qual foi diagnosticada como Tumor Odontogênico Queratocístico. Esta foi submetida a descompressão e biópsia incisional em mesma sessão, sob anestesia local e após 6 meses, realizada a enucleação da lesão seguida de crioterapia, sob anestesia geral. A paciente está sendo acompanhada desde então, não havendo sinais de recidiva. Desta maneira concluímos que o tratamento ainda é bastante discutido na literatura, sendo assim o cirurgião deve fazer uso das modalidades de tratamento as quais melhor se ajusta, visando sempre o melhor resultado para o paciente.Palavras Chave: Tumor odontogênico queratocístico, Tratamento, Crioterapia.
