Tumor odontogênico queratocístico associado a 3º molar ectópico: relato de caso
Resumo
Considerada uma lesão agressiva dos maxilares com altas taxas de reincidências, o Tumor Odontogênico Queratocístico raramente é encontrado em maxila. Este artigo tem por objetivo descrever o relato de caso de uma paciente de 20 anos de idade, melanoderma, sexo feminino, com um crescimento sintomático na região de maxila posterior do lado direito com envolvimento do elemento 18 em posição ectópica e drenagem de conteúdo purulento intrabucal, diagnosticada como tumor odontogênico queratocístico. Paciente foi submetida ao tratamento cirúrgico sob anestesia geral para a enucleação, curetagem da lesão e exodontia do dente 18. Após 2 meses foi realizado uma nova intervenção para curetagem e irrigação da loja cirúrgica. A mesma está em acompanhamento ambulatorial há 11 meses após a segunda intervenção e não apresentou quaisquer sinais e sintomas de recidiva. Deste modo podemos concluir que o tratamento ainda é bastante controverso na literatura, sendo assim a equipe deve fazer o uso das opções de tratamento as quais melhor se adapte, visando sempre o melhor resultado para o paciente.Descritores: Cistos Odontogênicos; Dente não Erupcionado; Terapêutica.
