The oral rehabilitation of patients with few natural teeth often becomes a challenge. The present study aims to report a clinical case in which a patient was partially edentulous on the lower arch and sought a dental clinic at Centro Universitário do Espírito Santo - UNESC to perform a lower complete denture. After clinical and radiographic examination, it was observed the presence of only two lower teeth, elements number 34 and 43. The treatment plan was defined with the purpose of rehabilitating oral health, to restore function, aesthetics, and self-esteem through a mandibular overdenture supported by roots. This rehabilitative method contributes to the preservation of the alveolar ridge which, together with the retention system implanted in the natural teeth roots, significantly improves the retention, support and stability of the denture. Root-supported overdenture is a consolidated, advantageous, and effective treatment option, which significantly increases masticatory efficiency when compared to conventional complete dentures.
