Regeneración Pulpar: un Desafío Clínico

La regeneración pulpar implica resolver la inflamación crónica y restaurar el tejido dentoalveolar dañado. Su éxito requiere efectos de control de infecciones, biomateriales y células madre. Este trabajo presenta una visión clínica de la regeneración pulpar, abordando protocolos, ventajas y limitaciones. Se realizó una búsqueda electrónica en Bireme y Pubmed utilizando los términos: revascularización pulpar, endodoncia regenerativa, regeneración, endodoncia en asociación con el operador AND. Solo se incluyeron informes de casos, series de casos y ensayos clínicos. Al final, 18 artículos cumplieron los criterios de elegibilidad. No se eliminó ningún artículo. Se observó que la mayoría de los dientes presentados son inmaduros, irrigados con hipoclorito de sodio, usan pasta triabiótica como medicación intracanal, están hechos con inducción de coágulos, usan MTA como barrera coronal junto con cemento de ionómero de vidrio, teniendo un resultado positivo de la terapia impuesta. La regeneración endodóntica es una terapia prometedora, pero tiene un alto costo, incertidumbre de éxito terapéutico, posibilidad de pigmentación coronaria y calcificación.
