Resumo

A busca por ideais estéticos tem levado ao aumento na procura por intervenções invasivas ou não. O uso de preenchedores dérmicos como alternativa “menos” invasiva e temporária apresenta grande crescimento, de modo similar tem-se observado aumento no surgimento de complicações. O objetivo desse trabalho foi analisar a produção científica mais recente acerca das situações de risco envolvendo o uso de preenchedores orofaciais. Para tal foram selecionados artigos científicos a partir da plataforma Medline no período entre 2015 e 2022. A análise do estudo demonstra que o conhecimento anatômico e vascular é de suma importância para o sucesso do procedimento, além desses, é destacado o uso de matérias, a técnica da aplicação e os cuidados com a biossegurança. Os profissionais devem estar cientes da possibilidade de risco e do suporte técnico para o tratamento de possíveis complicações.
